A 30-Year Partnership

A 30-Year Partnership case study

The Opportunity

A long-standing customer of over 30 years, this partnership dates back to the early days of Commodity Centre.

Over that time, their business has relied on flexible, ad hoc storage solutions to support its evolving operational needs. In 2023, as growth accelerated, the team once again sought outsourced warehousing capacity to accommodate increasing demand.

BRC Warehousing

Our Solution

Although already familiar with our services and facilities, the management team undertook a fresh review alongside technical specialists to confirm continued alignment with operational requirements.

BRC accreditation remained a key priority, and our warehouse met the necessary standards. Following this assessment, the decision was made to reintroduce out sourced storage after a period of bringing operations in-house.

The Results

At our Great Braxted warehouse, we now manage a wide range of products, including lentils, dahl, chickpeas, raisins and, most recently, rice.

Significant volumes are stored on an ongoing basis, with pallets regularly dispatched in full loads via Commodity Centre’s hauliers. From there, deliveries are transported to the customer’s main facility for processing and packing ahead of distribution.

Impact

Commodity Centre continues to provide flexible over spill storage as requirements evolve. Despite changes in personnel on both sides over the years, the partnership has remained strong - built on open communication, regular collaboration and mutual trust. This long-standing relationship is something we are proud of, and we look forward to supporting continued growth for many years to come.
