Role Purpose

To develop strategic customer relationships, deliver insightful account reviews, improve forecast quality, optimise stock and workload planning, and develop commercially attractive warehousing and transport solutions that improve profitability for both Commodity Centre and its customers.

Reporting into the UK Managing Director the scope of this job is to:

• Oversee assigned key accounts across all aspects of their activity

• Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key clients

• Lead monthly and quarterly business review meetings with key accounts and senior stakeholders

• Produce high-quality review packs covering stock holdings, sales performance, market context, demand trends, service performance and recommendations

• Present customer-specific KPIs, including warehouse accuracy, inventory accuracy, transport performance and service levels

• Develop stronger customer forecasting processes to improve labour planning, stock management and operational efficiency

• Review account profitability through detailed analysis of revenue, margin, warehousing costs, transport costs and operational activity

• Identify opportunities to improve customer profitability and efficiency through revised operating models and commercial arrangements

• Develop Commodity Centre commercial propositions, including warehousing, distribution, outbound transport and value-added services

• Build transport solutions incorporating pallet networks, direct haulier relationships, route-to-market optimisation and delivery schedule alignment

• Support the development of inbound logistics solutions from origin locations across the globe, including customs clearance and inbound transport to UK warehouse locations

• Translate operational costs into logical customer charging structures and commercial proposals

• Build trusted relationships across customer organisations, from operational teams through to senior decision-makers

• Champion continuous improvement aligned with Commodity Centre values of partnership, service excellence, accountability and long-term relationships

Qualifications, Compétences et Expérience

• Educated to degree level.

• At least five years’ experience in a similar or related position

• Ability to analyse stock, sales, demand and operational performance data and convert findings into actionable insight

• Strong understanding of warehousing cost drivers, transport costs, customer profitability and margin management

• Knowledge of pallet networks, UK transport markets, haulier sourcing and route-to-market design

• Excellent forecasting, planning and inventory management capability

• Advanced stakeholder management and communication skills

• Commercially creative, with the ability to design practical customer solutions

• Confident in financial modelling, pricing and business case creation

IT literate in supply chain execution systems and business applications, including the Microsoft Office suite

• Personal attributes: analytical and inquisitive; operationally credible; relationship-focused; financially astute; a pragmatic problem-solver; self-motivated and accountable; a team player; and aligned with Commodity Centre’s culture of partnership, integrity and continuous improvement.

Experience:

• Strong background in warehousing, logistics, supply chain or transport operations

• Experience managing major customer accounts within a B2B environment

• Demonstrable commercial and financial analysis capabilit

• Experience preparing and presenting business reviews to senior stakeholders

• Experience developing transport solutions and managing distribution networks

• Experience in the food sector and related regulations; a soft-commodity bias is preferred
