At the Commodity Centre, warehousing has been at the core of our services for more than three decades. We operate a network of strategically located sites across the UK. These sites provide flexible, food-grade storage and handling for a wide range of dry food commodities and metals.
Our UK Warehouse Locations
Our UK warehouses are located in:
- Great Braxted, Heybridge and Manningtree in Essex
- Barking, East London
- Mendlesham, Suffolk
These locations offer strong transport connections and sit close to key ports such as Felixstowe and London Gateway. This makes them ideal for efficient import and export logistics.
Capacity and Commodities Handled
Throughout our warehousing in the UK, we manage over 70,000 square metres of purpose-built space. Our facilities can handle many soft commodities. These include coffee, cocoa, sugar, dried fruit, tea, rice, nuts and other food ingredients.
Our team handles a variety of packaging formats, including bulk bags (FIBCs), jute sacks and palletised goods. We store all products safely and efficiently, ensuring quality.
Our facilities are flexible and can support different product types and supply chain needs.
Storage Options at Our Warehouses
Across our UK sites, storage options are designed to meet different product needs:
- Ambient pallet storage: Maintains stable temperature and humidity for non-perishable dry goods
- Bulk bag storage: Utilises floor pallets or racking systems depending on product and handling requirements
- Temperature-controlled storage: Kept at 10-11°C for items requiring additional protection such as dried fruits, nuts and some organic goods
