With our UK site located in a rural setting, protecting the surrounding wildlife and environment is a responsibility we take seriously. We're continually looking for ways to reduce our environmental impact while working in partnership with others to make a positive and lasting difference to the natural habitats around us.
We were delighted to welcome Grant and Justine from Essex Wildlife Trust to our Essex site recently, where we discussed a range of exciting opportunities to further support local wildlife and conservation projects in the years ahead.
The visit gave us the chance to showcase some of the environmental initiatives we've already introduced around our site, while exploring new ideas where we can make a meaningful contribution. Whether that's creating new habitats for wildlife, supporting local biodiversity or encouraging greater environmental awareness amongst our team, we're committed to playing our part in protecting the natural environment for future generations. We're looking forward to turning the ideas shared during this visit into positive action.
Commenting on our long-standing partnership, Justine said:
“Commodity Centre has been a valued member of our Platinum Investor in Wildlife community for many years, demonstrating a genuine and long-standing commitment to the environment. They have already taken significant steps to reduce their carbon impact and embed sustainability across their operations. By working more closely together, we now have an exciting opportunity to build on that strong foundation, bringing even more nature and biodiversity alongside carbon reduction. Combining Commodity Centre’s ambition with Essex Wildlife Trust’s conservation expertise we hope to help turn that commitment into meaningful action for wildlife, creating measurable and lasting impact for nature here in Essex.”
Our relationship with Essex Wildlife Trust spans more than 16 years, having first become a Corporate Member in 2010. Today, we're proud to be a Platinum Member, supporting the Trust's vital work to protect wildlife, care for nature reserves and inspire people to connect with the natural world.
