We are looking for a weighbridge operator to join our team in Amsterdam (40 hours).
Commodity Centre offers dedicated storage of raw materials, worldwide forwarding and 4PL services for soft commodities, metals and general cargo. Every year, Commodity Centre processes thousands of tons of materials in state-of-the-art bonded warehouses. We manage the entire supply chain, from origin and shipment to customs clearance, warehousing and onward distribution from Amsterdam Westpoort.
As a weighbridge operator, you're the first point of contact for drivers and ensure the correct and efficient processing of all incoming and outgoing weighings. You work accurately, maintain a clear overview and ensure that administrative data is recorded correctly. Thanks to your sharp eye and customer-focused approach, the logistics process runs smoothly and flawlessly.
Your tasks:
- Weighing incoming and outgoing trucks
- Checking freight documents and recording data in the system
- Communicating with drivers, planners and logistics department employees
- Reporting and handling any discrepancies correctly
- Operating the weighbridge and other systems in accordance with safety and company regulations
- Ensuring a clean and safe work environment
- You have a MBO work and thinking level
- Experience in logistics, transport or administration is a plus
- You are accurate, stress-resistant and have good communication skills
- You are proficient with computers and administrative systems
- You are customer-oriented and enjoy structured work
- Willing to work in shifts as needed
