Management Accountant

Job Description

Reporting into the Group Financial Controller, the scope of this job is to:

• Provide management reporting for decision-making and analysis. On-going review of cash flow and production of budgets and forecasts

• Liaise with both financial and non-financial managers including the Operations Director and Commercial Director

• Ensure team members are fully aware of all procedures to be followed to meet business requirements encouraging them to own and strictly adhere to them

• Build and maintain relationships with all other departments within the Company and across the Group

Tasks:

• Produce profit and loss accounts, budgets, cash flows, monthly management accounts, variance analysis and commentaries

• Monthly review of sales invoices

• Oversight and management of the purchase order system

• Assist in the production of the annual budget and periodic forecasting.  Prepare, analyse and interpret KPI’s of the business

• Ensure the accurate and timely completion of corporate statutory reporting to the authorities.  Continuous improvement in quality and standardisation of financial reporting

• Responsibility for the calculation, presentation and payment of VAT

• Control income and manage capital expenditure.  Report on company assets and liabilities including balance sheet reconciliations

• Maintain company standard costings documents

• Assist in the development of project costing models

• Take a lead in preparing the annual financial audit documents

• Assist with financial administration when required

Qualifications, Skills and Experience

At least 2 years Management Accountant experience required as well as knowledge and hands on experience utilising operational solutions to help improve service and efficiency, decreasing error rates. Proven technical ability as well as excellent analytical andnumerical skills.

• Qualified accountant -  ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualification

• Proven technical ability with experience in a management accounting role possessing an understanding of modern management information systems

• A focus on ensuring that both internal and external customer service is provided to a high standard and efficiency and quality standards are upheld

• Demonstrate the ability to work collaboratively within the Company and externally to establish positive outcomes and leverage the capabilities of all parties

• Professional attitude, team player with the ability to communicate at all levels

• Good organisational skills, prioritising using a common-sense approach to problem solving

• Demonstrate the ability to proactively initiate action, be decisive and think commercially

• Attention to detail and adherence to deadlines

• Competent in Microsoft Office to intermediate level, must have an advanced knowledge of Excel

• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate at all levels with both financial and non-financial management

• Be adaptive and able to respond to change quickly.

• Adhoc requirement to travel to European locations when necessary
